Did You Know?

The storyline is based in part, among other things, on Charlie Brooker's own experiences. In 2004, he was the subject of a public backlash after writing a satirical article about George W. Bush. See more »

The IMEI codes cannot be reliably used to identify the users that used the hashtag. The IMEI code identifies the physical phone, not the user account (the SIM card ID could be used instead for that purpose). Moreover, a significant portion of the tweets would have originated from laptop computers connected to public hot spots, and these do not have IMEI codes. See more »

Best episode of season 3
22 September 2017 | by omendataSee all my reviews

Working in the field I can appreciate the tech behind this and it was a great comment on the deleterious effects people can have en-masse on social media but unfortunately the end left me cold which loses it a point or two.

They should have left it with the guy shaving his head and leaving but instead they had to stick in the obligatory USA style ending to roll things up instead of leaving the viewer to think!

Apart from that it was well shot but the overuse of the "f" word is very tedious and quite unnecessary and really could do without it and the whole police, government and investigators were made to look like some pastiche of CSI Miami which was a bit laughable at times!

It is quite prophetic episode if you just check this link - spooky eh! manchester
