It's been three weeks since the revelations surfaced that strained Mitzi, Jamie, Bondurant and William's collective friendship. Each of the four sees his and her own life in a clearer sense, each message about their life delivered in a different way. Bondurant receives an "official" perspective on his trumpet playing, which isn't quite from the source he believes. Jamie, who has been dating Roman Roman, sees her life in his sculpture. While William tries to write a letter to Jamie expressing what he believes to be his true feelings while contemplating suicide using one of the dueling pistols given to him by his father, William is shocked into the reality of the situation. And Mitzi sees karma in a milkshake. With these situations at the forefront of their individual thoughts, the four may converge again for good or bad as Mitzi goes into labor.
