Goofs

Denish D'Souza mentioned that no republican owned slaves. This is not entirely true. Some republicans did own slaves before they joined the party, e.g. Francis Preston Blair who was first a democrat and owned slaves until the 1850s but became a member of the party in 1854 when he started helping organizing the Republican party. Also Alabama's governor William Hugh Smith owned slaves but changed it when he became a republican in the 1860s. See more »

Quotes

Carol Swain: It's not every day I get a political prisoner in my office.
Dinesh D'Souza: For me, Carol, it's so strange because I've just seen a whole different America than I'm used to.
Carol Swain: Well you know, blacks have been used to oppression in America, and some of it has come from the Democratic party. And it's been hard for me to accept because I was a Democrat for most of my life.
Dinesh D'Souza: What made you change?
Carol Swain: It was a number of different things. Some of it had to do with becoming a Christian, and the other part had to do with me ...

I can't believe the shills in the comments here.

Great Documentary. Theater was packed here. I'm not a big fan of the time-line of corruption being all tied together (in a conspiracy fashion). But breaking off each story and examining them is super interesting. If there is one thing I learned the democratic party are professionals at covering their tracks and rewriting history.

These other reviews are hilarious. You really think some guy read all of Dinesh's books and watched all his movies. THEN, comes on IMDb to attack his character in the review section of his new movie(a day before the movie's release)? Never forget Hillary's $10 million spent on social media companies to help control her image. Always look at a user's post history then laugh when you realize they are getting paid minimum wage to shill for Hillary.
