  • Erin Reagan searches for a missing trial witness who is on the run because of fear of retaliation.

  • When a key eyewitness in a murder trial flees out of fear of retaliation, Erin and Anthony spearhead their own two-person manhunt to find him and convince him to testify. Also, Garrett tries to convince Frank to attend the Police Union party, and Danny and Baez take a closer look at a suspicious convenience store robbery.

  • An innocent bystander who witnessed a murder regrets opening his mouth to the Grand Jury when Erin obtains an order without a hearing nor bringing the witness before the Court. (With a Material Witness Order, law enforcement can imprison the innocent witness until he finally testifies). Anthony asks her for a transfer. Frank argues with their union leader, Sid and Garrett about attending or even hosting a Police Union party. Danny and Baez question their own prejudices and assumptions as they investigate robbery turned murder at a wine and liquor shop.

  • Danny and Baez go to a liquor store that was robbed. The clerk pulled a gun and was shot. They find a man who was shot too. When they ask him who shot him he says a black man. And based on the description he gave, they locate an ex-con who works in the area of the store. They arrest him and he has an alibi. Danny thinks he could have allowed his prejudice to influence him. So he goes to the victim who is unwilling to cooperate. Erin is prosecuting a gang member for murder, her case rests on a witness who is afraid that his gang will come after him if he testifies. Erin offers to place him in witness protection but he doesn't want to give up his life. He bolts and Erin gets a material witness order, so she sends Anthony to find him. When he does, he brings the witness to Erin and he is still unwilling to testify. So Erin locks him up and Anthony is upset with her callousness, that he asks for a transfer. It's time for Police Union Ball and they would like Frank to attend but he doesn't want to. When Sid nags him about going, he considers canceling it but Sid stands up and tells him he can't do that.
