Some of D's books can be seen when he is talking to Chance: The Plague Dogs by Richard Adams, about two dogs that escape an animal testing facility and are pursued by the government and media, and "I, Claudius" by Robert Graves, a biography of the Roman Empire who's family perceives him to be an idiot and keeps him out of the public eye- while he uses that perception to survive in his murderous family and government.

WOW...Finally a great script & acting

Just watched the first and second episodes and I'm hooked! Chance has got the lot. Great script, acting, characters, locations, etc, that are plausible and thus, transport you and you're sucked in their world. I love it love it love it!
