Goofs

When Camille leaves the bar and is speeding, she stops suddenly because she sees a girl standing in the road. The road sign says "St. Louis 90". This is a blaring error, as any town in the Missouri Boothell where Windgap is supposed to be is at least 150 miles from St. Louis. Cape Girardeau, Missouri, which stood in for New Carthage in Flynn's "Gone Girl", is 119 miles from St. Louis. See more »

Mental. Health. Takes. Time. It. Is. Slow. Moving. A story following it, having to dive into the ENTIRE HISTORY of an individual, will. move. slow. Completely fair if you're not into a character driven story like that. Maybe you wanted to keep going for 3 episodes to figure out if you could get into it. But for the love of actual film making, don't cut (ha ha) this show into pieces simply because it isn't your type of show. Please. It's not a traditional story. It's almost purely an analysis. The lack of actions you're talking about, you're not wrong! Except it's not a story about physical actions. It's all about studying these people calmly, getting under their skin, seeing the things INSIDE them. And it will be slow. That's what's necessary for this particular type of story. You don't have to like that, aaand okay that's on you. Please don't blame the story for working its way.

We're by episode three. As perfect as I personally consider this so far, there's a hell of a lot of room for failing big time yet. The show definitely has a few downsides, but honestly they're so friggin' minor I couldn't care less by now! THANK you to all who've made the art piece in these first few episodes; from someone struggling with some of the same issues as the protagonist, this was a well-placed punch in the gut. If they go down the same road as the rest of the novel did, we'll be blessed with dare I say the most real depiction of mental health, social status and the issues of a (small-town) society on TV since 13 Reasons Why season 1 (not to compare the two in any other way of course as they're entirely different). It's incredibly relatable and at the same time frighteningly different, making for an entertaining ride through the mysteries surrounding a web of lives.
