Sex & Nudity

  • Most of the sexual activity is not show on screen. A blowjob is intimated but only seen as the back of a head being "bobbed up and down" with a hand guiding the head movements.
  • Two rape scenes are visualized, but do not show any nudity. The scenes are more implied, showing only what is known as "the rape victim," with the head the only visible body part on-screen.
  • A man is shown laying on a table without his shirt, in a non-sexual way.

Violence & Gore

  • A man is drugged (multiple times) by having his face covered with what is implied as a drug soaked cloth.
  • A man is hit in the face with a hammer. While violent, the scene is shown from behind the man, so contact with the face is it visible onscreen. The man is later seen with a bruise under his eye.

  • Mild profanity in a couple of scenes. Profanity is not used in a gratuitous nature in this film.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Beer is shown and consumed (in moderation) at multiple points in the film. Nothing abusive or problematic.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • While I would not call any scenes in this movie frightening or intense, others might subjectively deem them as such. There are multiple scenes of torture, as well as several "flashbacks" illustrating violent acts.

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Sex & Nudity

  • A man and a woman, in different scenes, open their shirts to expose their breasts, showing large, partially healed cuts from where their nipples had been removed with a knife.
  • A man has his penis severed by a knife. The act is not visible on-screen, but the penis is shown in the attacker's slightly bloody hand (not close up, but it is implied that it is a penis), and shown a second time on the floor, laying in blood. This is not graphic, or, rather, as graphic as the description implies.

Violence & Gore

  • A woman opens her shirt exposing her breasts, which have large, horizontal, partially healed cuts where her nipples had been removed by a knife.
  • A man opens his shirt exposing his breasts, which have large, horizontal, partially healed cuts where his nipples had been removed by a knife.
  • A man's penis is severed with a knife. The act is it not shown onscreen, nor is it graphic (other than the disturbing conveyance of the act). The penis is visible in the attacker's slightly bloody hand. As the scene ends, the penis is dropped to the floor and visible in a small "pool" of blood.
  • There are multiple "flashbacks" to rape. While the rape is not shown in a visible or graphic way, the person's mouth is gagged while the shot illustrates the rape occurring by showing the person's head moving in a way that implies thrusting is the cause.
