The Inuring tells the story of the fifteen-year-old Aleisha and her twenty-two-year-old sister Claudette, both of whom share the family home with their father Tom. In the midst of this tight family circle, Aleisha and Claudette are as close as sisters can be. Their close relationship is frequently admired by their protective father who has worked hard to raise them with the right moral code. But this happy home life is shattered when Aleisha becomes the target of the local bullies, who become determined to break her. As she struggles to cope with the attacks, Aleisha withdraws into herself, causing a rift with her family - a family that turns a blind eye to the bullying. Left to fend for herself, Aleisha confronts a tough dilemma in her bid to survive.
