Arrow has had its ups and downs in recent years. Its first 2 outings where the gold standard on how to properly do superhero TV. Recent seasons 3-4 have shown us how to ruin superhero TV. Season 5 has been a crusade to save the show as a whole, and this episode pushes it further. This a love letter to the show and while it does not advance the crossover plot in any way, it gives a solid does of action, heartwarming performances and melancholy returns of characters long passed.
