I guess I'll be the first one to review this documentary about Robert Klein. To be honest it wasn't great, not the kind of documentary I enjoy. It's just way too repetitive, you basically just get extremely positive feedbacks from other comedians, that if you have to believe them wouldn't have become comedians if they didn't watched Robert Klein before their own careers. The storyline states "...this is a hilarious and poignant look at the life and career of Robert Klein...". Let me immediately correct that, it's not hilarious, far from it. When I watch a comedy or a stand-up comedian I want to be entertained, have some good laughs, in other words a pleasant time. In this case I barely laughed, wasn't entertained, and certainly didn't give me the feeling of having a pleasant time. You can't even determine if Robert Klein was a good stand-up comedian or not as you just get a couple seconds here and there from his shows. It would have been better with larger sequences of his shows, so we could have made up our mind ourselves. Now you just get an endless idolization by other comedians, that becomes quite repetitive and boring to watch. It's just not a good documentary about a man that probably deserves better.
