- TC and Scott work desperately to save a young boy and his mother who were injured in a car accident. With the boy's life hanging in the balance, the team starts to realize there is more to the family dynamic than meets the eye. - TC and Scott are trying to help the boy who was in an accident with her mom. They learn the mother is not the boy's natural mother and the boy needs a transfusion so they try to find out about her. They give some story that the mother is an addict but they find no record of her, making them wonder how did they get him. Jordan and Shannon are treating a man who prefers to see a medicine man but comes for a certification. But when he needs to be examined his daughter shows up and raises all sorts of fuss from her father going to a medicine man and threatening a lawsuit if anything happens to him. Paul acts like a jerk towards Shannon. In Afganistan, Drew and Syd try to help the girl who's about to give birth. Her brother arrives and tells them he made arrangements for them to get out of the country and away from the man who bought her.
