Violence & Gore

  • A man is shot. The camera cuts away very quickly.
  • Two characters are beaten up by a group of men. We see the men throwing punches and see both characters with bloody faces. One character has a mouthful of blood. This character is also threatened with a gun that is shoved into his mouth while he chokes. Intense.

  • Profanity is infrequent but usually involves use of 'f*ck'

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • The story revolves around drug dealers in a small Appalachian town. A character deals opioid painkillers that he gets from elderly folks in the town. References are made to cooking drugs (presumably crack and meth) and heroin dealing.
  • A character smokes a joint and offers it to another character.
  • Several characters snort cocaine in different scenes.
  • A character suffering from addiction is seen at several points soliciting dealers to get high. We see a character give her a small stash of pills.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The beating scene is brutal and intense.
  • A couple of loud, jarring cuts to scenes with the action underway, such as the nursing home scene where an elderly patient is attacking the staff. The movie is generally slow and quiet so the sudden jump to these scenes may be startling.
