Is Arrow Back?
5 October 2016 | by ArjunTheReviewerSee all my reviews

Arrow Season 4 is one of the worst seasons of any show I have ever seen. It was a mess despite the promising start. Is Arrow Back? Yes. But not like Season 2 Back, lol! This episode was certainly better than any episode of the show in recent memory. The darker tone is noticeable with people actually getting killed by the Green Arrow, and there is more bloodier and darker moments in this premiere. It feels like a return to the good old days. Also, the action scenes have improved. There were some one shot action scenes that really were just better than anything in Season 4, even though it was noticeable in the helicopter fight scene where it looked like it had fake punches and kicks here and there. Also, Olivers character has seen to have improved. He is struggling to manage his vigilante and mayor life. Captain Lance in particular stood out as now a drunk, sober cop. Not much of the team from the last two seasons was shown, which is kind of disappointing. Also, they managed to balance Felecity, and she is not as present as before like in Season 1. However, I want them to get rid of her new boyfriend. Tobias Church was great in this episode, and he was a really scary villain. The flashbacks seem better than last season with the Bratva, even though it does not take much to be better than last season. Overall, the show is possibly back on track. Grade: 9/10
