Very Hard to Watch

This is raw documentary and would be so no matter where it took place, but knowing it happened under bribery from a fabulously wealthy country to the North (which isn't Catholic, or tribal, and doesn't "get it") makes it even more more tragic. "Poor Mexico -- so far from God and so close to the United States!"

Brief observations by historians and journalists, interspersed with people who lost parents and adult children in the countryside or had farmland extorted out from under them with the death of a family member and the the theft of all paperwork. This is an irony not mentioned, probably out of the fear of information overload, but most lant was hard-won during the Mexican Revolution a century ago and surely another catastrophic national wound.
