Substance over style

I finished both retail games, will skip Revelations + the DLCs and find this 3 part release a sham. The Japanese Front Mission 3 had 2 completely diverging campaigns on the PSX and so do nearly all western strategy games. Stop this now Intelligent Systems. Conquest is indeed a proper challenge, as reported, and thus the better of the 2. This makes Birthright the choice for genre newcomers but they should play the more rounded Awakening instead and only hardcore fans should get both games. The presentation is a bit better that last time and the translation is top notch but the story is still predictable animu nonsense, as always. The children mechanic also came back as a rather weird afterthought, so the series should just go back the generations approach of the Snes days, or drop it altogether. I further welcome the removed erotic content, as that crap would have derailed the historic franchise in the future. The shipping lastly needs to be reigned back too and i will remember this release for the deep customization and streamlining, despite some worrying feature creep.

Worth getting all 3.

Warning: Spoilers
It's amazing how there can be 3 different versions of a game and all 3 have the exact right amount of story, character, and game play to make them all worth getting. They can get emotional at times, but overall, they're all fun games. Also, be wary of Camilla, as she may seem a bit inappropriate for some kids. The paralogues can be fun to play through, and plenty of the support conversations are hilarious. And all the connections to Fire Emblem Awakening make all the Easter Eggs fun to look for. Out of all the possible couples, the ones I'd recommend are Charlotte and Xander, and Takumi and Oboro. Nintendo, you should make more games with a game play formula like this one, because it is definitely a good thing you did.

What happened to Fire Emblem I remember, this game shows M rated violence for a game rated T

Warning: Spoilers
As you know I'm a big Fire Emblem fan and upon playing this game on Nintendo 3DS, I like the tactical combat system and the CGI cutscenes and I like that your weapons no longer break which I hated in the older fire emblem games and your characters can no longer lose units in easy mode. You can build up your village inside your castle grounds.

You have 3 different paths including Birthright, Conquest and Revelation path, you have to choose between 2 kingdoms to fight against much like Romeo and Juliet. This game features a terrorist attack by the player blowing up the queen and one of the characters falling off the cliff to their death and yes there are graphic violent scenes including characters committing suicide.

Here's where the problem happens, this Fire Emblem Fates story is much darker than Fire Emblem Awaking, there's actually graphic violent scenes. I didn't like the rainbow agenda themed wedding being an option which offended me.

But there's a scene in the game that upset me so much I finally quit playing it, that scene was on Chapter 17, where Flora commits suicide by burning herself to death.

Are you kidding me? Graphic violent death scenes in Fire Emblem in a game rated T. This game feels almost like Mortal Kombat except there's no blood. But the scene where Flora burns herself has upset me very much to watch it which reminds me of Denethor burning himself to death. At least in Fire Emblem Awaking they don't actually show a character jumping to her death but in this game they show graphic violent cutscenes which made me sick to watch.

I'm disappointed in the Nintendo company for allowing graphic rated M suicide and violent death scenes to be in Fire Emblem Birthright and Conquest. I don't like how dark Fire Emblem Fates is. In the meantime I'm going to play older Fire Emblem games on Gameboy Advance which were less violent and more lighthearted than this game. I'd rather forget this Fire Emblem game existed.
