White Crow is a good film about an extravagant artist played by a talented (and beautiful) young man. It got long and a tad tedious at some point, but extra kudos to Ralph Fiennes for a) directing a film in Russian (and actually act in Russian too) and b) make the airport scene thrilling, even though we all know that Nureyev did defect. No straightwashing either: the man has an affair with a fellow dancer and visibly hits on another, so...
