Go For Kaabil and It will be Worth It for Sure
puranjan16326 January 2017
A great round of applause for Hrithik "Kaabil" Roshan. From the very beginning of the movie it was a very very emotional movie in fact in few of the scenes tears came to my eyes. Apart from the fabulous acting by Hrithik, the story was good the music was beautiful and Yami Gautam a true heartthrob. Though a bit fictitious plot but some of the things shown in the movie truly reveals Current scenario of our country and has a strong social message. Till the very end of the movie I liked in fact loved the movie. In the Bollywood I would say Hrithik is truly evolving his movies. I just do not want to lengthen the review any further, just watch it for yourself. According to me this is the first movie of 2017 which I loved absolutely and will surely watch it again.

Kaabil: An action thriller with its lead actor as its heart and brain.
Achyut_Prashast_Singh29 April 2018
KAABIL is a well made action thriller. It's very interesting to see a blind man (played wonderfully by Hrithik Roshan) seek revenge in an unusual, unexpected, fun way. It's not a film to be judged critically since it's just a fun action movie with plenty of thrilling twists and turns in the plot.

Hrithik is the first and foremost reason why KAABIL works so well. Every other actor does a decent job, but he delivers his career's best performance. There's one emotionally intense scene in the first half in which you wish to cry along with him. He never makes you feel he is able to see anything with his eyes.

The action sequences are stylish and thrilling to watch, while the dialogues and emotional scenes too are excellent.

KAABIL is not without its share of flaws. The first half is a bit slow when it comes to the basic theme of the film. In the second half, the songs create hindrance.

But the climax definitely takes you by surprise, and you need to see it to believe it.

KAABIL is an entertaining action thriller. Watch it if you still haven't.

HRITHIK, he is not just an actor, he is emotion with excellence
duttamainak1225 January 2017
Lets begin with the story, the story is outstanding and very gripping, also the major fact is that, this is unpredictable with huge amounts of twist. Then cinematography is the main plus point of the movie, the director and the whole kaabil team work really hard, and the result is the movie is so logical. You can't even raise a drawback against this movie. Now comes to Hrithik Roshan, in a word , he is "brilliant" , the culminating point of brilliance and purity come as a result of Hrithik Roshan. He is blind but yet he plays with his eyes, so engaging fact this is. Yami is as cute as polar beer, also acts very cleverly, ronit and rohit are awesome too. But the main fact is that this not a sanjay gupta masterpiece, Im damn sure that Rakesh Sir helps him a lot to deliver more promising atmosphere.

BRILLIANT CONCEPT with having Emotions and Heart at Right Place
SAMTHEBESTEST26 January 2017
KAABIL REVIEW : If you've watched and liked Film's trailer then you will get all expected things in Film just like me. Excellent Writing, High on Emotions, Good Direction, Heart Touching concept and last but not the least Kaabil hits your heart and melts it. Details to follow -

Acting- Let's welcome Very first nominee in Best Actor Category of almost every Award show of next year, Hritik Roshan the man does it again. He proved that when it comes to Acting Oriented films, he's Such fine Actor. It's Not his career's best but surely in Top 5. But we got surprise here, a beautiful lady, Yami Gautam did it and made it Best performance of her career (Not so Big yet) so far. Roy bros are Fantastic. Others are Realistic and Good.

Writing- Excellent ! Such a beautiful script it is which has emotions till the end.

Screenplay- Fantastic ! With run time of 140 minutes i don't think screenplay could have been better than this on the same script.

Cinematography- Good. At some scenes Locations looks B Grade but rest cinematographer totally nails it. Especially in Lightning, Disappearing scenes.

Music - Above Average ! 'Mon Amour' is Average but Choreography is excellent If you're ready to exclude some mistakes. 'Main Tere Kaabil' is the Best Song in Film and it's situational too, 'Saraa Zamana' is Timepass but Urvashi looks hot in it.

Direction- Very Good ! Kaabil is perhaps the Best Work of Sanjay Gupta so far. He succeeded in connecting film with everyone's emotions and film makes you cry at some scenes. Many Expected mistakes and minuses are there in Direction but i don't expect Gupta to work like Nolan so it is Okay. I'm hoping to meet Sanjay sir soon and thank him for Such a Lovely and Heart-touching film.

Final Words- With better direction this Film would've been a Masterpiece or a Classic at least but it fails achieve that feat but still it's a MUST WATCH film for all those who have emotions. Kaabil is Silent message for those heartless people who underestimates Disable people, actually i feel it gives you a social message that we Normal people should never tease Disable people and we should feel lucky that we're living normal life not like Disable people. I'm going with 7/10* stars and i strongly recommend this film to everyone, just inches away from a Classic Tag, still Film deserves to be watched at least Once at Any cost. Thank you Kaabil team for giving me such a Kaabil (Successful) Film.

Hrithik is back!!!!!!
shivamrock-7174726 January 2017
Awesome movie....Hrithik is back.A smart film well acted by Hrithik ,Yami,Ronit,Rohit. But,the highlight of the film is Hrithik's bravura performance. He is vulnerable as a lover and menacing as a killing- machine. It is Hrithik's film from the word go. He is there in almost every scene, and he seems to be in control of the proceedings. As a person who has suffered and is holding himself back from crying, he has done fairly well. Yami Gautam, like Ronit Roy, is already typecast as a wife/lover who leaves her partner midway. Hrithik Roshan and Sanjay Gupta consciously don't project Rohan Bhatnagar as someone you should pity. This works and you realise this is the story of an underdog you want to win. But you need more than a few 'Kamzor mat samajh' kind of dialogues to completely root for Rohan. Barring the regular approach to filmmaking, Kaabil embellishes Hrithik credential as a fine action hero.

A must watch!!!!!!!!

One Of The Best Performance by The Lead Actor
ravisinger8625 January 2017
Kaabil Directed By Sanjay Gupta is an Action Thriller. Script is Well Written With Minor Flaws. Screenplay is Brilliant in The First Half, Second Half is Predictable & Stretched A Bit. Cinematography is Praiseworthy. Action & Dialogues Are Just Fine. Direction is Far Better Compared To Earlier Sanjay Gupta Movies.

Rohan Bhatnagar(Hrithik Roshan) A Dubbing Artist is A Blind Man. He Meets Supriya(Yami Gautam) A Blind Girl. They Fall in Love & Finally Get Married. Amit Shellar(Rohit Roy) Along With Wasim(Sahidur Rehman) Physically Assault Supriya. Rohan Takes Help From The Cops, But Nothing Works. Supriya is Again Raped, She Commits Suicide. Rohan Plans & Executes Something Which is Unbelievable.

Acting Wise, Hrithik Gives One Of His Best Performance, He Does Really Well in Emotional Scenes. Yami Gautam Does Well in Romantic Scenes, Chemistry is Incredible Between The Two. Ronit Roy is Just Fine, Lacks The Depth in The Character. Rohit Roy is A Poor Actor. Narendra Jha & Girish Kulkarni Both Did Well.

Music By Rajesh Roshan is Melodious. Title Track By Jubin Nautiyal & Palak Muchhal And "Kuch Din" By Jubin Nautiyal Are The Better Compositions From The Movie.

Overall A Must Watch For Thriller Genre & Hrithik Fans. Few Scenes Are Memorable, Which Are Beautifully Shot.

One of the very best movies of the last decade
imdb-ikysmoviedatabase27 December 2020
It was also one of hrithiks very best performances of his career. He performed so perfectly and convincingly. He has truly mastered it all. Sadly it didn't release in cinema near me else it truly would have been worth the big screen experience. I first watched it on Netflix when it was first available for streaming. Hrithik stole the show completely. I watched it a few years ago and I still remember how impressed I was. Every one definitely should give this at least 1 try if you still haven't seen it. I'm sure 9/10 people will really enjoy it.

A worth watching thriller with class performances and will make you cry before intermission. Hrithik is again on his best.
kaushalmodi198525 January 2017
Warning: Spoilers
In year 2016, Hrithik Roshan's last release Mohenjo Daro was flop against Rustom and has disappointed his fans. Now these year Kaabil face off with Raees on Box office. Now question is will Hrithik bounce back from Kaabil or fails as per last time. Let's analyze...

KAABIL is the story of Rohan (Hrithik Roshan) and Supriya (Yami Gautam). They meet each other and fall in love with each other. Both are blind and they find happiness and joy in each other's company. All things are going alright till tragedy strikes in their love life. Rohan decides to fight back, but his opponents are powerful corporate persons Madhav (Ronit Roy) and his brother Amit (Rohit Roy). Will Rohan is able to fight back and take revenge is what forms the rest of the film.

Kaabil has several plus points to watch it. Decent performances, Its gripping Storyline and twists and turns in movie will defiantly gives you a seat edge thriller experience.

Director Sanjay Gupta is known for his Action Thriller movies. At one point we can see Kaabil has the similar story of revenge and its serves nothing new, but the way Sanjay Gupta has directed the movie is simply superb. Kaabil is one of the best revenge based story, I have seen after Ghajini.

If we talk about Performances, Hrithik Roshan has proved again, He is and will be always brilliant in challenging roles. Yami Gautam looks beautiful and performed his part very well. Rohit Roy and Ronit Roy both brothers have nicely performed in negative roles.

On the whole, Kaabil is filled with full of emotions and will defiantly make you cry before intermission. Superb performances and gripping thriller makes it a perfect watch. Worth watching. Don't miss it...

Hrithik Roshan Has All The Moves, Only If He Had A Plot!
proishaanpuripro26 January 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Hrithik Roshan tries hard and offers us a great performance but the film plays strictly by numbers and you can see everything coming from a mile. The movie begins with romance between two people who cannot see which is full of cliché and the scenes that just makes you cringe. I have seen old serials having way better romance development scenarios between normal couple, but this was between two blind people. It should give you this warm-touching feelings, but it catastrophically suffers from awkward expressions and dreadful acting, then their relationship goes into fast-forward pace in a song and both are ultimately married except a tragedy befalls the couple, and then things gone awry.

-And this is where movie truly suffers from, you see at every point movie desperately tries to make it look serious and dark except it fails at every point. You have an item song, right after a blind guy's blind wife gets raped and I should mention she got raped twice, and then she committed suicide. I was feeling so frustrated at that point towards the writers who I don't know what crack they were smoking when they thought of adding an item song when the movie suddenly goes so dark and negative. As a Man, I just felt terrible and horrible, we just had seen a blind wife brutally getting raped. I can't imagine how women felt when they went to watch this movie. After that, we have your typical mouse and cat revenge story with tons and tons of plot holes, at that point all I felt is that this movie is playing with my emotions and feelings.

1. The very first plot hole is that A post-mortem is carried out as soon as possible after the suicide on behalf of the coroner as part of the investigation to establish the cause of death. It usually takes place within one or two days of the death, but none of that happened. I guess someone forgot how the laws and rules work before writing the story.

2.The main reason it turns into a revenge story because the protagonist (Hrithik) couldn't bring justice to his late wife because the person who raped his wife (Rohit) is the brother of Ronit who is actually a minister which is established this late into the story out of nowhere and misuses his corrupt powers to control the cops. Okay, I might have understand this if this movie was made in 70s-80s, but this is 2016, no one gets away with such brutal crime these days, and he was not even a big shot. He is just some small unknown corporate minister, don't ask me, the movie never tells us that either.

3. From start till the end, you will constantly feel that the movie is missing something, it just feels so condensed, the movie repeatedly goes back and forth between the home where Hrithik lives, the police station, the telephone booth and one or two more new locations where Hrithik takes his revenge on the culprit which are exactly the same locations that you will see in the first half. The movie never goes or develop further beyond that, it just feels like a B-grade budget movie.

4. The movie takes no effort into developing any sort of character development or their personality like why the protagonist is blind where are his parents, why the Heroine is blind where are her parents? The villains in this movie has no motivations either, they are plainly dumb like a villains drawn by a school kid to further glorify protagonist.

5. As for the revenge, the protagonist comes with a brilliant plan, he has a talent for mimicry and can make lots of different voices and noises, so his plan is to make culprits fight each other by mimicking their voices magically and that's ladies and folks the brilliant revenge plan the writers thought of. I thought they were making a serious movie, but at this point it felt like a cheap comedy movie.

6. His revenge is all about killing, but he never thinks of exposing them to the media or public, so that the people can realize, how corrupt is everyone and he will be doing a great job for other women and couples, so that they won't have to go through what he went through. He even completely forgot about the cops who took money from the minister, so that they won't take his case. He even befriends one of them later into the story, WTH. You should be killing those cops too if one of them did their job right, your wife might be alive right now.

7. The worst part is the conclusion when the cops discovers that it was after all the protagonist doing all the murders, so to gather all the proves they check the call recording and went to the phone booth where he makes all those calls. So to match person, the cop takes out Hrithik's photo to ask whether he comes in daily to make regular calls. It was like the whole cop force was depending on this one alone proof, but the guy turned out to be a blind too and everyone returned empty-handed. So let me get this straight, are you telling me that in one small location Hrithik manage to find a blind woman and also a blind person who coincidentally takes care of a local phone booth too. Is Hrithik really is blind? How did he manage to find an other blind person, but guess what? The movie doesn't bother to explain that to you either.

:Honestly, I can go on and on about how bad this movie is and Can Hrithik Roshan act? No question about it. Can Hrithik hack it, in Kaabil, a film that gives him every opportunity to gain lost ground? That's a toughie.

Powerful and thought provoking
bvirik-5807726 January 2017
Hrithik presents a powerful portrayal of how some parts of society take advantage of blind people. The supporting actress, Yami Gautam, presents a fresh face while Narendra Jha impressed with his acting of the 3 star cop-in-charge - a little different than the usual Bollywood cops. The bad guys are true to usual form. The songs are the usual Bollywood entertainment but nothing to leave any lasting memory. The movie leaves you with a very strong thought about society and will touch your humanity and sense of justice unless of course you are a robot. The end almost descended into the usual Bollywood "dishoom-dishoom" farce but there is a twist to the end. I deducted 1 point for the more than necessary and unreal smiling and jovial faces of both blind actors in the first part of the film. For the last 2 points, the film misses the outstanding and exceptional criteria. It has a certification 15, however I personally feel it should be 18. But that is only my view. Worth watching? Yes.

Standards of making Hindi movie is degrading
ramakrishna-kothapeta28 January 2017
Warning: Spoilers
I understand u don't need a logic in a movie making since it is a movie. But never expected this movie so bad. Even in 80's they made better movies than this. Coming to the performance as mentioned by lots of people they rated this is Hrithik's best performance, this is what made me to watch the movie but I am very disappointed. The standards of the movie and accessing the actors performance is degrading day by day. I still have lots of faith in Indian cinema and I hope for the best. The actors of 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's are way better than the current actors(with an exception of few). Just building the body and learning the dance is not enough. Frankly speaking I never had any hope from Sanjay Gupta but only the reviews made me to watch the movie and I wasted my valuable time.

U will be glued to your seats, the entire film. BRILLIANT!!!
souravt925 January 2017
The story is simple that a blind man takes revenge but with a lot of twist and turns. Rohan, a proficient dubbing artiste and Supriya, a talented pianist--who despite their handicap have a positive disposition towards life. They fall in love and gets married but something tragic happens and their world is destroyed. That's when Ronit Roy and corrupt police officers, played efficiently by Narendra Jha and Girish Kulkarni, drag their feet over the investigation. When the humiliation gets too much to bear, Supriya caves in, leaving Rohan with vendetta on his mind. Here, the film shifts gears and though you know what's next, the cat and mouse game still gives you an adrenaline rush. Every time the blind vigilante commits an atrocity, you whistle in the aisle. The main highlight is Hrithik's performance. He has literally given it all. Yami provides the perfect foil, subtle and super-effective.Technically the film is adept, Thanks to masters like Sudeep Chatterjee (camera) and Resul Pookutty(sound). However Rajesh Roshan's yesteryear hits—Saara Zamana and Dil Kya Karen in their remixed avatars are pale imitations of their original versions. P.S. Its very emotional and watch out for the last 15 minutes

A winner for this Hrithik Roshan cat and mouse thriller.
oazam25 January 2017
Mohenjo Daro, Kites, Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon, and Mujhse Dosti Karoge. These are movies where Hrithik Roshan screwed up as an actor.

Following by flawless performances he gave in Jodhaa Akbar, Dhoom 2, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, and Guzaarish. This one happens to be his best out of the ordinary. So basically he follows a pattern of being good to bad and bad to good.

The trailer was bit underwhelming making the plot of the film too predictable but quite frankly it is a pretty decent movie.

So right now we are looking at a blind man who does voice acting for a living and falls in love with a blind woman who is a pianist and musician. They both have a very happy life even after marriage until one day 2 corrupt men rape the blind girl and commits suicide with remorse of the pain she went through. Then the it seeks revenge on this matter.

The acting was good. Hrithik Roshan gave a flawless performance as Rohan Bhatnagar and he got into his character really well and finally deviated from Mohenjo Daro.

I always found Yami Gautam to be an underrated actress but she was decent.

The Roy brothers also gave fantastic performances and they kept the flow of the film afloat.

Sanjay Gupta directed lots of films like Shootout at Wadala, and Jazbaa. These were very average films. The only issue with this guy is that his direction is very poor. He shoots everything at a 45 degree angle which gets annoying. He did the same for this film. I almost felt that the direction of the film could've been better and also he used too much green screen. Who uses green screen to shoot a Mumbai spot? I mean it doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

Rakesh Roshan despite him being a producer of the film managed to give a good one.

The story and screenplay was good including the twists and references that were made in the movie. The cinematography was decent done by Sudeep Chatterjee and Ayananka Bose. The action scenes were choreographed in a good way.

The pacing and editing could've been better.

Despite its flaws, it is a good film with good writing and acting. This is a cinema worth watching movie.

Box office will be consistent but it won't beat Raees because of the hype created by Raees.

Will look at a 80-100 crore prediction.

Film is more than what you expect, more than the Revenge Story
atmaveeravism25 January 2017
Keep in mind following things before seeing this film or any film.

1) Be the director while watching it not the critic.

2) Assume what makers and actors were gone through pressure while making this kind of films.

3) Put yourself in a protagonist. feel what the actor (Hrithik Roshan) is feeling while pretending to be a blind.

4) Don't compare it with any other movie, (for e.g. Can you compare Inception to Matrix? Probably no! every film has its own goal)

5) Rohan Bhatnagar is not Daredevil, He has no supernatural power.

6) And finally the story - You will see it is not just a Revenge Drama, but still it is more than your expectations.

A Final Intellectual Argument

See there are 125 crore peoples in India. If they want to entertain they always choose to entertain first - 60% them want to see trustful actors (Amir,Salman,Shahrukh,Akshay,Ajay and Hrithik). they have already assumed! lets go and see first. Another 40% of people who may be Hollywood fans like level first - They watch only VFX films like (Aavatar, The Junglebook, Godzilla and Furrius 7 Kind) if they can't see perfectness of story while watching such films. they just watching films under visual trusts like VFX. then who are we 40% of people to argue with those 60% who just wanna entertain? (Whatver if actor is big criminal - salman).

don't be a critic be the audience first

What an enigmatic performance by Hrithik !!! Makes a great comeback
ketgup8326 January 2017
It is a great sense of achievement for disabled people who are leading a normal life even though they are facing challenge each and every day. Films like Sanjeev Kumar "Koshish", Rani Mukherjee's "Black" or the recent one "Margarita With A Straw" where Kalki Koechin gives an enduring performance, is one step forward to accept them. "Kaabil" is one such attempt to portray that they are not weak but they are better than us in some way ..

"Kaabil" tells story of a lovely couple, Rohan (Hrithik Roshan) and Supriya (Yami Gautam) whose world are torn apart when few miscreants interfere in their life. Rohan plans to seek revenge on those who were behind his family's destruction.

After a long time, Sanjay Gupta, though borrowed from "Broken", has delivered some sensible film which will surprise you with few scenes. The movie begins in a normal flow where a boy meets girl and they live happily coupled with unnecessary songs causing interference. The first half is hardly engaging but it is scene before the intermission where Hrithik challenges the cops which is outstanding. The second half begins with a bang gathering the steam and delivering it to the best. Though the plot becomes weak in between, it is the treatment and execution which keeps you engaged.

Good attempt by Sanjay Gupta but still could have better. Art direction is fine. Cinematography is excellent. Dialogues are brilliant. Editing is weak which could have improved making it a taut revenge thriller. Screenplay is like a roller coaster ride. Music is fine but except "Sara Zamana", none of them will be remembered. Coming to the performances, it is Hrithik Roshan's show all the way. The multi-talented actor does everything from romancing his heroine, dancing brilliantly and even giving solid dialogue baazi. However, it is impeccable acting of playing a blind man that leaves an impression. What a come back. Yami Gautam surprises you as well with her enchanting smile and outstanding portrayal of a struggling blind person who is suffering in pain. Ronit Roy is wasted in underwritten role. Rohit Roy over-acts.

On the whole, "Kaabil" is a good attempt by its makers. Watch it for Hrithik Roshan as he is not stopping back. Decent 2.75/5

Comeback Movie of hrithik roshan
vip-nishantsingh25 January 2017
Warning: Spoilers
We all know that Hrithik Roshan has a good personality and he is also a great dancer but to be a actor and show their talent is something we were missing after KOI MIL GAYA,specially the last Movie of hrithik Mohenjodaro makes us so upset so hrithik needs to be give something to remember and a comeback plot and he done as he blasted his act talent together in KAABIL it is very Nice Movie What truly works is the fact that it has a stranglehold over its proceedings from the very first frame till the last Hrithik delivers a fantastic act. His expressions say it all. In many scenes he stands out despite not mouthing a single word Sanjay Gupta manages to help viewer connect not just with his lead pair but also the villains, albeit in contrasting ways

You want good guy to win over evil. It is this emotional involvement that makes you clap along when the 'elimination' begins

What takes extremely the cake is the last 15 mins, especially the final twist that has been extremely well incorporated in the film -

Yami Gautam has a good role and is there for the entire 1st half and also periodically in the 2nd half. Good and natural again

Rohit Roy performs in a manner that you feel disgusted, which actually solves the purpose. Ronit Roy is terrific as ever Rakesh Roshan ensures a commercial film for audiences that has all the right ingredients in place and in right proportions

The film is an unique blend of romance, tragedy and thrill. The first half is filled with love in its most tender and innocent shape. How two individuals otherwise deprived of vision lighten up each other's lives is a heart-melting affair. The second half gets darker as it's more about Rohan outgrowing his capibilities and taking due revenge on the ones who killed his happiness in bud. Both are effectual in their own ways.

Plot: Rohan (Hrithik Roshan) and Supriya (Yami Gautam) are visually impaired and fall in love with each other after an accidental meeting. They are leading a happy life when Supriya is raped by influential guy Madhav (Ronit Roy) and his brother Amit (Rohit Roy). How blind Rohan takes revenge against Madhav and Amit forms the crux of the story.

Kaabil is regular revenge drama with some fresh and interesting proceedings, which keep the viewers engaged right from the beginning till the end. The climax is very interesting and emotional. The movie has all the commercial ingredients to impress all the classes of filmmakers.

Performance: Hrithik Roshan and Yami Gautam have delivered wonderful performances in Kaabil and the amazing chemistry between the two is one of the highlights of the movie. Hrithik's dance moves and action are stunning. Ronit and Rohit Roy have also done great jobs and their performances are also big assets of the film

Technical: Kaabil has brilliant production values. Rajesh Roshan's melodious songs and amazing background score, Sudeep Chatterjee and Ayananka Bose's picturisation and brilliant choreography of the action and dance sequences are the attractions on the technical front.

Why to watch: if you are fan of Hrithik Roshan his act is enough reason to watch this film.

Why to Not: If you don't like making plot for Climax you can be bore in starting of the movie.

What to do: This movie deserve a time show in theater for everyone You will enjoy Kaabil in Theaters for sure.

Every Turn , Action and Dialogues is predictable.
anupapu825 January 2017
Warning: Spoilers
KAABIL - So the big clash . KAABIL vs RAAES. To start with Hritik's acting was pretty good. And to some relief its definitely better then Mohenjo Daro. But just slightly better. I don't see what was so great about this script that RAKESH ROSHAN decided to produce it , with Hritik as the lead and SANJAY GUPTA {a very stylish but a commercially flop director} to direct it. The thing is , the movie is predictable to death. Every turn , every action and every dialogue is predictable. I mean i was literally saying the dialogues before characters were opening their mouth. The storyline was very simple. Two blind people meet on a 'blind date'and talk , on 2nd meeting song happens , they fall in love , then the 2nd song happens and they marry , then the tragedy happens and the hero take revenge. The only expectation which i had was , how a blind character took revenge. It has been pretty awesomely done in the TV series DAREDEVIL and even in AANKHEN the robbery by blind people was done very good. So i was actually relaxed in the whole first half with that exact expectation in-spite of the fact that nothing exceptional happened in the first half. But the 2nd half didn't paid off. What i wanted was to see some exceptional intelligence of Hritik's character , rather what i got was villains dying because of their own foolishness and overconfidence along with incapability of Mumbai Police . In one scene police got a handkerchief on a dead body , and they directly concluded that the owner of the Handkerchief {whose name was written on the handkerchief} is the murderer without even checking the fingerprints on the handkerchief , in which case murderer could have been caught easily. In another scene , Hritik's character telephone Ronit's character and challenge him to come to an address , and Ronit quickly reach that place with just a single bodyguard. What kind of villain does such a foolish thing ? Why not take a full army of thugs to kill his enemy. And for god's sake , Bollywood villains should just kill our heroes when they have him on his gun point, and not start beating him with that gun so that after sometime our hero can snatch that gun and point it to the villain and again not kill him with that rather kill him with his hands. Basically what i want to say is that this film is very filmy . The story is not interesting , the action is not interesting , the dialogues are done to death , the villains are bad. Can good performances and direction with interesting camera work can save it. The Answer is No. O yes i forgot to say , this movie just cost 60 crores(because of which i think it would be a hit). And how is that possible ? Because of the bad CGI. Almost 25%of the movie has been shot with CGI background of MARINE DRIVE and an Under construction apartment which looked like crape. Did i mentioned SAARA JAMANA is now the worst item song ever for me after MAAVI VE of WAJAH TUM HO. Very badly choreographed (also with CGI background) and forcefully injected , although the song MON AMOUR has been shot very well. One last thing i want to mention that the director on an interview said that there was a different version of SARAA JAMANA song which was crucial for the storyline so has not been released , and will be shown in the movie directly ,but it didn't haven't. That means the director has just lied on the face of the public, DON'T KNOW WHY. Its a shame that all the hard work HRITIK is doing is just going to drain in every movie one after another. 6.3/10 by ANuP APu KuMaR

Awfully horrible movie
ipac-727062 February 2017
Really awful. Don't waste your time. Even if they give you money to watch it you will regret and you will never get back those hours from your life. I could sit and do nothing and I would still be more happy than spend hours watching this "thing". I mean who wrote this? Do they have a mind? Really? And how could these actors (except rhitik) accept a role as an actor in such a ridiculous movie? Are you OK? Please tell me? Why did you do that to us? Why? The writer must be going through his own personal issues while writing this movie script. Seems like Rakesh Roshan was desperate to save his and his son's career and the only option was to direct this hopeless movie with 80's theme and trying to twist it with blind characters. Roshan's are definitely next in line with the same fate as Deol's.

Best of 2017
gautamvastava27 January 2019
I've probably seen Kaabil ten times now and still can say it's the best movie of 2017 hands down. Hrithik shines bright in this one, only slightly overshadowing the performances of Ronit Roy and Yami Gautam. The plot, storyline and execution by Sanjay Gupta take me back to some of the brilliance he had shown early in his career with Hamesha and Aatish. But Kaabil is the complete Package where some of his earlier works fell short, Kaabil makes up for and then some.

Kaabil - Hrithik Roshan show all the way.
chand-suhas25 January 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Story -

It's a straight forward revenge drama. The entire plot was already revealed in it's two trailers. So two blind people Rohan Bhatnagar & Supriya played by Hrithik Roshan & Yami Gautam meet on a blind date, fall in love & leading to their marriage. There's a baddie Amit (Rohit Roy) whose brother is a corporator (Ronit Roy) & they ruin the dreamy life the lovable pair are leading. How the system betrays the helpless couple & how Rohan takes revenge on the villains against all odds forms the entire story.

Movie -

The movie begins with Rohan getting to meet Supriya on a blind date(?!). As Rohan says, it is love at first sight (oh come on, I'll get to these dialogues later). Rohan succeeds in charming her over with his cheesy lines & of course a dance number. The proceedings here is smooth & the characters are established in a text book manner. The lead pair though blind are sweet & extremely cute which reflects in their dialogues & action. Likewise the baddie Amit is introduced with a crass dialogue on the blind couple establishing his nasty character & so on. Amit & his friend Wasim, harass the couple which takes a nasty turn. The whole world of Rohan & Supriya is crushed. The two songs don't spoil the proceedings & the pre-interval scene with a powerful dialogue firmly sets up the revenge drama for the second half.

The second half begins on a predictable note. A filler item number is included which does nothing to the storyline. But once again, the song doesn't hamper the narrative. Once you buy into the premise, nitpicking on the logic doesn't matter much considering how convincing the performances are by the lead actor. So the predictable concept succeeds in entertaining with more clap worthy dialogues as well as cleverly handled scenes. The pace does seem to drop due to predictability towards the end but the well inserted twist makes up for it. The film justifies it's run time & no where feels like it is lengthy.

The point to notice is the way Sanjay Gupta has concentrated on the details. I remember a meme mocking Rohan using a candle or a watch. Mind you, those things are integral part to the script & well explained. Likewise it's these detailing which makes the second half an engaging watch ably supporting Hrithik Roshan's terrific performance.

Performances -

Hrithik Roshan has come out with a stellar performance. He's extremely believable & he single handedly carries the film on his firm shoulders. Be it the dramatic moments or the romantic ones, he never misses out.

Yami Gautam looks pretty & again comes up with a decent performance. Even she's believable in her portrayal, complimenting Hrithik throughout.

Ronit Roy doesn't have an exceptional role but it's his portrayal including his accent that leaves a mark. Rohit Roy too is first rate. Narendra Jha is very good as the cop & I wish there was more to the character of Girish Kulkarni, such is his performance. Urvashi Rautela appears in the Saara Zamaana track & just to be honest, it was a bit vulgar mainly because it's just a filler song.

Plusses -

1. Hrithik Roshan's performance. 2. Paisa Vasool second half with powerful dialogues & more seeti maar scenes. Just to reveal one spoiler, the kills are really well handled. 3. Narration doesn't falter & it's easy to buy into the premise. 4. Superb interval scene with powerful dialogue which was shown in the teaser. It's something to watch out for.

Minusses -

1. Highly predictable script. 2. Cheesy dialogues in the entire first half that just sticks out as a sore thumb. And yes, biggest complain regarding the first half will be these dialogues & few other cringe-worthy ones. 3. Camera-work in couple of crucial scenes look artificial both in first half & second half. 4. Logic goes for a toss. If you're among the nitpicking ones then you might not enjoy the film much as the entire film runs on predictable note with even the order at which the baddies die is not surprising.

My Rating - 6/10

Final Words - It's a Hrithik Roshan show all the way. What an actor! And the film's dialogue mouthed by him suits the best "Kalakar hoon na... main bhi manta hoon".

Kaabil is Na-Kaabil
ketan-3369629 January 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Rakesh Roshan and Sanjay Gupta's joined hands to make a movie called "Kaabil" with our favourite superhero "Hrithik Roshan". Well to start off with 1st half of movie was really nice as i was hooked on to understand how bad the scenario went for blind couple (Hrithik & Yami gautam) and how the law is not supporting them or even considering their case as local corporator "Ronit Roy & Rohit Roy" are running the game.

But 2nd half of movie becomes too artificial to even follow. When the revenge drama starts and the way Rohit (Hrithik) takes revenge from the Roy brothers.... man they missed out big time on that. There are some huge disconnction of characters. As one particular scene shows after Supriya (Yami) gets raped and both Rohit and Supriya are thrashed by this incident a day later Rohit goes to work as he is an dubbing artist. I was so surprised so see that scene how in the world can anyone do that..... And when Rohit goes for work Supriya gets raped again.... I was like this is so freaking bizarre man.

Also one particular scene shows after the 1st rape incident Rohit and Supriya are kept captive in a safe house for 24hours out of city... but during the climax Rohit tells Madhavrao Shellar (Ronit Roy) to meet him at safe house ... How the hell does a blind person can know about that place...

Overall its okay-ish movie but kinda depression one. Watch at your own risk.

Revenge is a dish best served blind is the message Kaabil gives. Kaabil - A revenge thriller!
oommenabraham31 January 2017
Warning: Spoilers
The plot: An underdog hero and a revenge plot – a prefect cocktail to get the party started for year 2017 for the Roshan clan. "Kaabil"- Hrithik Roshan-starer is a revenge thriller. The movie revolves around a blind man going out to avenge his raped wife. This revenge saga gets interesting and thrilling just before the interval- The first half comprises of Hrithik-Yami (both look good together) love story but suddenly a tragedy struck and nothing will stop Hrithik to have his revenge. The Roy brothers (Ronit-Rohit) dons the villain hat for the first time and gives a devilish performance. (But most of the better dialogue is taken away by Hrithik, obviously!) Music: Rajesh Roshan – as usual keep his best stock for his home production – Once again he hits the right note with songs like Kaabil Hoon, Mon Amour, etc.… also remix (Haseeno Ka Deewana and Kisi Se Pyaar Ho Jaye ) of old songs from Rajesh's jukebox are smoothing to the ears. Final Verdict: Worth a one-time watch for Hrithik/Yami , good editing/music and for a gripping story.

Kaabil Stands for HRITHIK ROSHAN
ratheeshkpillai25 January 2017
Kaabil has a Predictable Plot with an Entertaining Screenplay.

The best part of the movie is the Romantic Drama and the Conviction of both the lead actors as Blind Persons. Background Scores and Music adds the Flavor to Kaabil's Entertainment Quotient.

Kaabil is start to finish Hrithik Roshan's Movie and after watching the movie its hard to Imagine anyone else in that Role.

In that Sense its one of the BEST of HR's film career.

Watch it for The HRITHIK ROSHAN Only.

P.S: haters should stay away from this movie. Are you listening Ms. Queen ?!
