Compassionate...

Staying true to a balanced rhetoric "How to Die" stears clear from hyperboles and delivers exactly what it set out to do. Without being cynical it also avoids treating a delicate subject "matter-of-fact-ishly".

It's impossible not to empathise with Simon and his choice - but it is also hard not to feel annoyed at the situation he forces unto his nearest and dearest.

This is no easy watch and there are no easy answers. But there are questions raised and there is emotional growth to be had.
