Johnny talks about the previous night's Emmy Awards, and how confusing the categories were. He then presents a variety of Carson Awards in categories that weren't included. Next, a brief sketch features Johnny in a commercial offering financial advice. Bob Speca is introduced by Johnny; he is 18 years old, and enjoys creating elaborate designs with dominoes that he then sets off to topple in a chain reaction. Johnny then reveals the design of over 7,000 dominoes that Speca has set up on the stage; the design includes Johnny's name at the center, as well as two ramps which pass over later sections of the design, and also a few criss-cross sections and multiple paths. Johnny sets off the start of the reaction, which takes about three minutes to complete. Joan Rivers comes out and discusses a variety of topics with Johnny, including air travel, baby names and raising children.
