Storyline

To start the comedy segment, Johnny holds up an illustration of the 23-cent Mary Cassat stamp and a picture of himself as Carnac, since they have a strong similarity. The main part of the comedy segment is the original users of well-known advertising slogans. Jay Leno does not do a stand-up routine, just jokes and stories during the interview. He and Johnny talk about competition between comedians. He says he bought his dad a new Cadillac, and then tells a story about helping purchase the family car as a teenager - getting it with a powerful engine and racing tires that his dad didn't expect. Then another story about how his father made good on a 20-year warranty on a toilet seat. He also talks about working as a young comic at strip clubs, since there were no comedy clubs back then. Also a story about a mishap on the Dinah Shore show. Fred Savage, 12 years old, talks about starting acting when he was six. He also talks about meeting Clint Eastwood at the Golden Globes.
