After his scary adventure with Julian, he seems lethargic under medication, Norman commits to therapy with Dr. Gregg Edwards as if a father figure of confidence, who learns about his mother-fixation, witnesses and recognizes his next incident of incarnating her personality after an imaginary supportive visit from her warning against betraying family secrets. Quotes

[first lines]
Norma Louise Bates: [about the break-in] Are you sure we should be cleaning this up? Maybe we should dust for prints or something.
Sheriff Alex Romero: They wore gloves, Norma. There's no prints.
Norma Louise Bates: They? Who's they?
Sheriff Alex Romero: They, he, she, whoever it was.
Norma Louise Bates: Well, did they have to break my favorite window? That's mean. That's personal. What the hell, Alex? I have been so good. I've totally kept to myself. All I've been thinking about is Norman and getting him better. I've been busy marrying you. I haven't had time to piss anyone off.
