The story of Mary Magdalene. This film is supposed to be talking about Mary Magdalene but is surrounded by pretty much other side stories and one of those stories is of course Jesus Christ. The film doesn't do a good job on showcasing their relationship or even showcasing her life in general. The casting was all wrong in so many places for both Joaquin Phoenix and Rooney Mara which except the fact that i can't stand either of them are portraying 2 figures that are very important and they both do a bad job especially Phoenix as for Chiwetel Ejiofor he was just there for the paycheck i guess. Definitely one of the worst faith films i have seen in a while to be honest. (0/10)
