In 1992 Alabama, Will and Breeze Rutledge are evacuating from the destructive Category 5 Hurricane Andrew with their dad. However, their truck gets stuck after avoiding a toppling tree in front of them and they are forced to take refuge in a nearby house. While trying to save the truck from blowing away, strong winds blow a water tank loose and it crushes their dad, killing him. In present day, another destructive hurricane named Tammy approaches the town in Alabama. Treasury agent Casey Corbyn is ordered by fellow employee Randy Moreno to summon Breeze, who now works as a handyman, and whose brother Will is a meteorologist, to fix the generator at a cash storage facility. While she is out of the facility, rogue Treasury agents, led by Connor Perkins, infiltrate the facility and hold employee Moreno hostage..
Award winning novel "Storm Crashers" by Richard Wickliffe was optioned by one of the "big-six" studios, after his unique concept of a high-tech heist during a hurricane was shopped all over Los Angeles. This movie and at least two other similar projects were planned shortly thereafter. See more »

I watched The Hurricane Heist last night with my family, we went to the cinema without knowing anything about this film, I thought I was going to watch something like Fast & Furious or Mad Max: Fury Road, but I was wrong.
This film has a hurricane and a heist but it's one of the most cheesy action movies I've seen in my life, it's full of plot holes, the character development is weak, I've seen porn movies with a better soundtrack or even with a better cast, and there are a lot of things that doesn't make sense.
Looks like some of those cheesy action films that we used to have during the 80s and 90s.
Have you heard "so bad it's good"? I can say The Hurrican Heist is so bad it's kinda enjoyable.
It isn't the worst action movie on the world but is very away from to be a good movie.
