In 1950s France, Gabrielle is a passionate, free-spirited woman who is in a loveless marriage and falls for another man when she is sent away to the Alps to treat her kidney stones. Gabrielle yearns to free herself and run away with André.
Guillaume Canet is told by a young co-star that he's no longer Rock'n' Roll and can't sell films anymore. He then tries to prove her wrong and gets help from his girlfriend, Marion Cotillard. Thanks to 2 great perfomances from Guillaume Canet and Marion Cottilard Rock'n Roll succeeds on providing great laughs but also some moving and terrific scenes from the 2 talented actors who seem to have a great time and a real chemistry in general but also some great messages about fallen idols and how age can change someone's life to the worse or in this case? to the better.
