The Protector of Concord Dawn
15 December 2019 | by lassegalsgaardSee all my reviews

I didn't know about the Mandalorians and their culture through the extended universe as many others did back with the novels and comicbooks. I learned about it through "Star Wars: The Clone Wars," and I was waiting for Dave Filoni to bring them back. And now, he finally has. I found this episode to be exceptionally thrilling and compelling. The idea of it starting out with one of our crew members getting seriously injured was a bit of a shocker, but I like that they didn't hold back on it. I liked the introduction of Fenn Rau, a new character who reminded me a lot of a good version of Pre Vizsla. I liked his connection with the main players, and I also thought his role was very refreshing. A lot of things happened that I didn't expect to, so what was nice. Overall, the only real setbacks was that a few of the sequences felt a little bit out-of-place, and I also feel like this is an episode for hardcore fans of the Mandalorian lore, and it got a little hard to follow at times. However, it was a great episode and one that added a lot of new players to the table and a new arc for Sabine that I can't wait to see unfold futher.
