The hero with no name nor motivation
8 April 2017 | by See all my reviews

This movie is rather faithful to the DOA's novel which was released back in 2009. It's a sort of thriller with a nameless hero, a mysterious killer whose motivations will remain unknown, except that he had to deal with the Colombian cartels. The fierce and ruthless gangs from South America. This scheme reminded me a little Robert Enrico's LE SECRET, adapted from a Francis Ryck's novel, but this was more an espionage tale. I have always loved supporting actors and characters, far more than the lead. Some horrible torture sequences, not for the squeamish. And one more thing: the little girl who is supposed to have a white mother and a black daddy looks more a mix-up between a Spanish descent and an Indian...
