As its title indicates, this show tries to emulate True Detective (2014), and joins an already busy roster of popular shows such as Manhunters: Fugitive Task Force (2008) or The Devil You Know (2010), which explains its failure.

    Excellent portrayal of real crimes and the people who investigate them
    I have really enjoyed both season 1 and 2 and cannot wait for season 3. The depiction of real crimes re-enacted and narrated by those who investigated them is an excellent concept and makes for enjoyable viewing. Anyone who is involved in law enforcement, forensics, legal, crime stories, corrections etc, will be able to relate to stories told. I found myself in trenched in the easy to follow episodes. I highly recommend watching both seasons. Well done to those involved
