When Jessie finally gets enough power to start the Chinese helicopter, she is lifting off mere seconds after hitting the start button. To start a turbine helicopter, throwing all safety considerations to the wind and just trying to get off the ground, would normally require at least 60 to 90 seconds. This would be for engine start, rotor spool up, and at a minimum bringing up a generator, inverter (if needed) and hydraulics. That would not be allowing for any checks or warm-up. See more
