The cabin used as the principal filming location for this short is an authentic Appalachian dwelling that was constructed in the late 18th century. Sometime in the early 1900s, the cabin was modernized with sheet rock and siding. The town of Unicoi, Tennessee purchased the cabin, and the property on which it rests, in 2008 and restored it to its original log structure. Since then, the town has used the cabin for community and educational events.
