Grigory Mishkin, son of Russian consulate diplomat Sergei, is murdered. Castle gets to investigate, closely 'accompanied' by domineering Russian 'security guard' Vasiliy Zhirov, apparently an spy, who has excellent contacts at State Department and is discretely part of Becket's secret team. They discover that Grigory was killed to prevent him disclosing a larger plot, which still leads to a sniper murder attempt, and dig into further secrets, while one more awaits Castle. Beckett is seen speaking Russian a couple of times. Stana Katic actually is multilingual, and fluent in Croatian, Serbian, French, Italian, and Slovenian. See more »

In the beginning of the episode, Beckett claims that Russian consulate is legally considered foreign territory. In fact, under the Vienna convention, the consulate (embassy) is on American soil, it is just excluded from US jurisdiction (cannot be searched, seized etc.) See more »

[Castle enters with a lot of shopping bags]
Alexis Castle: What is all that?
Martha Rodgers: Oh, my lord.
Richard Castle: Somewhere in one of these bags is the perfect baby shower gift for Jen and Ryan. I just need your help picking which one. Ready? Ta-da!
[he shows them a baby-sized Kevlar vest with "Baby" on the front]
Alexis Castle: No.
Martha Rodgers: Is that a bulletproof baby vest?
Alexis Castle: It's completely inappropriate.

Didn´t they do their research?
30 December 2017 | by peppivalilaSee all my reviews

I really like Castle and i have watched all the seasons in row. I like the characters and the plot. Usually i get bored after second or third season, but this one is a rear exception.

This episode is also all of those things BUT did anyone do even a little bit of research about Finland?? I could´t almost even watch this episode. It was so awkward. First of all, what was that accent? I am not an expert, but it sounded Slavic. Finnish does not actually sound like Russian because it belongs in to Finno-Ugric languages. That was a big fail. Our countries live next to each other, but it does not mean that out languages sound alike. Also, we do not hate russians. Last war against them was over 70 years ago and they are important to our economy. I do also have few russian friends.

Finland is not really known country and i would really appreciate if you would just stay in the facts. What comes to culture, Finland is more like Sweden. Swedish is also much more spoken in Finland than Russian.
