Storyline

Honesty, humor and heart are at the center of A&E's original docuseries, which highlights the outgoing personalities and amazing abilities of seven young adults born with Down syndrome. Hourlong episodes follow the Southern California residents as they pursue passions and dreams, explore friendships and romantic relationships, and generally defy society's expectations. The series also allows the parents to talk about the joy their children bring to their family, and the challenges they face in helping them live as independently as possible. The cast includes avid sportsman and self-professed ladies' man Sean; entertainer John; school employee Cristina; and budding entrepreneur Megan. Written by Jwelch5742

Wow!
24 August 2018 | by shawneecasteelSee all my reviews

I came across this show in an "let's see what the Kardashian trash is up to" moment. Reality shows are not what they used to be. One episode in, and this show had me hooked. THIS is what reality TV should be. It's an insight into people who aren't famous or popular. It's an educational experience in regards to people that aren't exactly like me in everyday life. In the U.S. we have an issue with ignorance and bias. I don't know anyone with DS, and it's so refreshing to learn about people that were born just a little different, but still amazing. There is such an amazing display of strength, fortitude, and "we're people too!" on this show.

Thank you to all of the participants. You're changing the world.
