Director Chris Weitz's historical thriller is based on the story of how a group of Israeli secret agents arrested notorious SS officer Adolf Eichmann - the man who masterminded the "Final Solution" - in Argentina. Oscar Isaac plays the legendary Mossad agent Peter Malkin, while Ben Kingsley plays his emotionally manipulative arch-nemesis. After tracking Eichmann down to Buenos Aires, Malkin and his men captured him and brought him to Israel for a historic 8-month trial.
Sir Ben Kingsley plays Nazi Adolf Eichmann. In Murderers Among Us: The Simon Wiesenthal Story (1989), he played Nazi hunter Simon Wiesenthal. Operation Finale is a somber film about the plan to kidnap Adolph Eichmann. As you no doubt know, Eichmann was the architect of the Final Solution...the killing of 6 million Jews. We're taken inside the planning of the kidnapping and implementation of the plan. There isn't a great deal of action, but the character development is outstanding. Lovers of history will thoroughly enjoy this true story.
