When Erich Kästner and Hans are sitting together they make up a story about how only parents of twins should be divorced, so each parent can get a child and they can switch places. This story later became Kästners novel "Das doppelte Lottchen" (Lottie and Lisa), released in 1949 and was the source for "The Parents Trap". See more »
When Hans is reading Kästner's poem "Die andere Möglichkeit" (The other possibility) to his class mates and in Kästner's flat is is missing out a few verses. In his flat he was only reading the first and the fourth and in school only the fifth and the last. There were no cuts between the two scenes and verses. See more »
