MPAA Rated PG for some rude humor and action

Sex & Nudity

  • One of the rabbits mention getting confused that one of the rabbits wore a brown shirt that matched his fur, and that they got confused which were his buttons or "nipples". Played for laughs.
  • Male main character is fighting with Peter Rabbit, Peter pulls the mans pants down and we see his boxer shorts.
  • A CGI animated character runs by yelling streaker (nothing shown, just an animated animal)
  • A male and female main character do one kiss
  • Peter attempts to shove a carrot into the old Mr McGregor's behind.
  • A cockerel makes a reference to having 'fertilised all those eggs'.
  • Benjamin is overweight and there are some fat jokes towards him.
  • Benjamin complains of being "out of shape" and says afterwards "I only eat salad".

Violence & Gore

  • An older man dies on camera following a heart attack. He is seen falling to the floor with his eyes open. It's clear that he has died when he's poked in the eye as another character confirms.

  • When it starts to rain one character says "Damn it", but it is hardly hearable due to the rain sound, plus it's a British film and that's not really a word of profanity to them. One use of the slang word HECK.
  • Damn is used in a song
  • One reference to flatulence. This is for humourous purposes when a character attempts to lipread.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • The older McGregor is brifely seen drinking beer in a flashback.
  • The younger McGregor injects himself once. It's presumably an antihistamine or something similar as he does it after having an allergic reaction.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • A man is intentionally targeted with his allergen and is seen going into anaphylactic shock. He self-medicates with epinephrine immediately and survives. He is not shown to have any other ill effects after the epinephrine treatment. Viewers should note that in reality people going into anaphylactic shock should be rushed to the nearest hospital immediately following epinephrine treatment.

  • We realise that during a flashback Peter's dad dies by getting baked in a pie

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • multiple times during the movie, it is said that the main character's parents were killed by a human, put into a pie and then eaten. it is shown on screen during a flashback that the father went into a human's garden. the human is seen swinging a rake down onto the rabbit, even though the rabbit is not shown. we cut to a pie being served to the same human, after it was said that was how the parents died. the mother, who was not deceased at the time, is shown comforting her son, who witnessed it. our main character seems to have some sort of fear of abandonment because of this, as he fears losing his one human friend.
  • Mopsy 'dies' and has Flopsy crying, but it turns out she is fine.
