Important and long overdue movie exploring an industry of cruelty and death
10 June 2016 | by nanabjoernlundSee all my reviews

Exploring and exposing the extent of the extremely violent and sadistic celebrations in Spain was long overdue, and thus this movie a very important initiative. It shows the horrible reality of what really goes on behind the events, usually glorified as "tradition", "art", or "culture", and will shock any viewer to the core.

As thousands of animals are abused and killed each year for entertainment we are experiencing a change in popular opinion, and an increasing number of Spaniards are turning their backs on the country's animal abuse festivals. Still there's very little debate about the subject, but a movie such as Santa Fiesta may help break the silence.
