Storyline

Raised in the U.S., Claudia (22) is an undocumented illegal immigrant living beyond her means in a twisted version of the American dream. When she's arrested by the FBI for credit card fraud, Claudia is quickly deported to Mexico. Speaking no Spanish and lost in her foreign "homeland," she reluctantly takes refuge at her estranged father's cattle ranch. As she clashes with her unyielding father, her attempts to return to the U.S. thrust her into a dangerous bond with a foreign smuggler, Ricky. Caught between her father's sermons, Ricky's promises, and the encroaching military, Claudia must navigate a tightrope of impossible choices. Written by Bomb-Diggity-Grant

A Hauntingly Beautiful Film
27 April 2016 | by See all my reviews

I loved this film. The casting could not have been more perfect, the cinematography was phenomenal, and the score was haunting. An interesting telling of an immigrant story portrayed through the eyes of a young fierce woman. The lead character is not your typical immigrant character. She has been raised an American speaking no Spanish and knowing nothing about Mexican culture. There is not much dialogue which gives the film a tension that is felt from beginning to end. Sixtos carries the film with her expressive and tense eyes which could not have been an easy task. This movie will have you at the edge of your seat. Beautifully chilling film.
