Compelling short thriller
9 May 2017 | by grahamhiSee all my reviews

I saw this short film recently at a film festival and was hugely impressed by it. Compelling, intense, surprising, gripping. The subject of illegal organ harvesting is a fantastic idea for a film. What I loved about it most was the pathos that writer/director/actor Branko Tomovic brought to the story, and the tragic inevitability of the protagonist's fate which was not what I was expecting. It's very dramatic, but also has a wonderful poetic beauty among all the grime and lowlife scenes, amazing cinematography and performances from Tomovic and Dervla Kirwan. Highly recommended.
