Saanjh is a very beautiful cinematic experience which brings us the beauty of human emotions especially those of separation. The characters of the film are honest just like its story. The film centers around a young girl who is left to stay with her grandmother after her father finds her being involved in something that should never have happened. The girl named 'Sanju' then befriends 'Jonga' which is another great character in Saanjh and slowly and steadily develops an understanding with his grandmother. The main characters of the film all remain in agony of separation bringing out the fact that lack of communication can lead to confusion and suffering for all.
With Saanjh, a viewer is able to experience the beauty and riches of Himachal Pradesh which is the epicenter of this movie with most locations, characters and even the director hailing from the beautiful northern hilly state of India. The songs add up grace to the film which complements situation and add more meaning to the film.
As the film comes to the end, a viewer is left with an open ended story.
