Te Kohe Tuhaka,
This Halloween-inspired short anthology from Amazon accrues a great deal of good will over the course of its five vaguely related shorts, thanks to the palpable energy the viewer can feel from the filmmakers. It's all across the shorts: From the opener "Killer on the Loose" to the eerie finale "Is That You," series creator Michael Ballif and occasional star/co-director James Morris are absolutely thrilled to be participating in the series. My personal favorite is "Not Alone," a nightmarish nine-minute short that managed to give me shivers all over more than once. It's great fun for horror fans and it would be great to see more of the show if it goes forward.
