Trivia

Elder Condie meets Elder John H. Groberg on the boat to Australia, and Elder Groberg tells him he's getting off at Tonga. The story of Elder Groberg's missionary experiences is told in the film The Other Side of Heaven (2001). See more »

Goofs

The painting seen in the missionaries' apartment (Del Parsons' "Christ in Red Robe") was painted in 1983. A painting in the mission president's office showing Jesus Christ with a child (Greg Olsen's "In His Light") was painted in 1999. Olsen's portrait of Jesus "The Gentle Healer" also appears in the mission president's office. All of these were created decades after the film's mid-1950s setting. See more »

Excellent! A Heartwarming Story That Uplifts
21 October 2016 | by writeexpressSee all my reviews

This is an upbeat story the entire family will enjoy. It just told a wonderful, true story.

It contained absolutely no objectionable material of any kind. Hollywood take note. We want more movies like this.

The actors were genuine.

The 1956 setting was believable.

There were a couple inside jokes but if you've watched The Other Side of Heaven then you'd get it.

We watched it in Provo, Utah and the audience applauded when the movie was over. What a great compliment. You will be uplifted and happy you watched it.
