Trivia

Alice in Chains guitarist/vocalist Jerry Cantrell has a cameo as one of the townsmen watching Hearst getting beat up. He also appears beside Garret Dillahunt when he says "I hope you die in the street, like my dad did". Cantrell was a big fan of the show and had previously appeared on the background of two scenes from Deadwood's season 3 episode 1, "Tell Your God to Ready for Blood". See more »

Goofs

The marching band is playing Sousa's "The Thunderer", not "Stars and Stripes Forever". However, "Thunderer" was written for an Enclave of the Knights Templar in October, 1889... still later than the events depicted in the movie. See more »

Great, but feels forced.
1 June 2019 | by isis3240See all my reviews

Love the series and like the way the movie ties up the story. The characters are great and their personalities have not been lost. My only complaint is that the dialog seemed forced and at times like the actors were reading the script for the first time.
