Storyline

Good son Tyler's first visit to campus doesn't immediately advance him to desired autonomy, as his overprotective mother embarrassingly clings to sending him off like a toddler, despite some support from father Tim, yet he even ends up eating her mainly symbolical sandwich. Patriarchal grandpa John actually organized his own (mock) funeral, albeit with him in an actual casket, but although the reluctant clan attempts to go along with the macabre farce, 'black sheep' Matt's unfit speech is cut short and 'widow' Sophia cuts trough the crap. After scary advice from a disturbed gynecologist, Heather gives birth to John's favorite son Tim's firstborn. Written by KGF Vissers

Disappointing
7 January 2016 | by See all my reviews

I was looking forward to watching this because of Colin Hanks and James Brolin. From the previews it looked like it might be a really good show. I was very disappointed. I did not find it to be funny. I didn't even mildly chuckle at any point during the show. I watched all but the last 5 minutes of it and then just shut it off. I didn't see the point in watching any more of it. I won't be watching any of the other episodes either. If the pilot was the indication of how this show was going to go, I just don't see the point in watching any more of it. Very sad, because it did look promising. I found it too disjointed and not at all amusing.
