The team are called in to investigate the death of Amir Aziz, an Imam, and anti fundamentalist found at a local Mosque, suspected is taxi driver John Sutherland, a man not scared to show his racist views. A young Muslim woman 'Sarah' has entered the UK from Turkey, instructed to go to a hotel, it is apparent that she is smuggling drugs. The drugs Trafficker is picked up, and a link is found between him and the Imam. Sarah's been estranged from her family for some time, her mother's scared, knowing Sarah's guilty of radicalising women. The Police pick up Sarah's brother and mother, attempting to discover her whereabouts, her mother explains Sarah witnessed her father being shot as a child in Srebrenica. Suspected of the Imam's death is racist Taxi driver John Sutherland.

A very strong Waking the Dead flavour to this episode, fans of that show will have seen episode 'Pieta,' a somewhat similar storyline with the Bosnian element. Esther Hall's presence didn't help with that either as she's played Felix Gibson.

Without a doubt this is a controversial story line, I did enjoy it, it just felt like it was missing a little something, possibly a lack if involvement from the regular cast. As always with Silent Witness it was well produced, strong production values, beautifully acted, both Esther Hall and Abigail Hardingham were excellent throughout, both characters developed and transformed as the episode progressed.

A shocking ending rounded of the episode. It certainly made you want to see the conclusion.

Surprisingly not a complicated plot, on occasion the story lines can be quite complex and hard to follow, this one wasn't. Not one of the best, but still very good. 7/10
