The "long-line" stunt, where Tom Cruise climbs up a rope dangling from a helicopter and then free-falls onto its payload, was the first stunt sequence filmed in New Zealand. It was incredibly dangerous. The crew had to keep Cruise in a safety harness, but also make sure that he wouldn't get tangled in the line. Cruise surprised the crew by continuing the action once he had climbed up to the helicopter skids. See more »
Early when Hunt and Hunley meet at Ramstein Air Base, the layout is completely wrong and obviously not Ramstein. Built in the late 1940s, RAB only has one hangar, which is considerably smaller and less modern-looking than the hangars seen in the film. It is actually a station called Royal Air Force Brize Norton in Oxfordshire, England. See more »

Tom Cruise is a machine. He knows what audiences want and he delivers. Not sure how they can top this one (but I thought the same after watching him cling onto a plane). Keep making these Mr Cruise and thanks for entertaining us!
