We cannot escape who we are.
16 July 2019 | by dreamingescapistSee all my reviews

After a failed attempt to kill Howard Silk's wife in the hospital, the wounded Baldwin gets a new assignment - she has to kill her other-self. At the same time, Prime Howard Silk manages to escape from an attempt for his life and he returns to the Alpha World to continue his chase after Baldwin. Together with Aldrich, they look up Nadia Fierro (Baldwin's Alpha) to capture Baldwin, while Alpha Howard tags along still without any understanding of what is going on.

The second episode reveals us the past of Baldwin (and her Alpha). We also learn more about Prime Howard and his relationship with his estranged wife Emily who also works for the agency. Few bits are given about how the parallel universes have evolved.

Slower and less exciting than the first episode, the second one keeps the atmosphere and moves the story forward while still leaving everything open. Some new layers are added to the characters while it is still unclear who is the real 'bad guy'.
