WAY BETTER than Escape From Tomorrow
26 December 2018 | by warrenxSee all my reviews

I got the chance to see this film at a very small film festival. It was quite a fun time! The plot is very original, and actually doesn't lack competence and standard narrative structure like Escape did. It was clearly very amateur though. Certain shots in the park could have been retaken, with the 'Adventureland bridge run-across' sticking the most out in my mind. And the shots in the house could have been lit in a more natural way. Plus, the child actors, although only briefly in the film, were clearly like the crew's kids or something. Not saying they don't seem like great kids, but their performances were just not all too great. But overall, the film has a whole lot of heart, and maintains such a wacky tone and style that you can't help but just love it to death. My favorite scene was the aquarium one. Not gonna spoil it, but Walt says some things that were very touching. Overall, check this one out if you can find it. It may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it seems of interest to you, it certainly won't disappoint.
