The Minuteman Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) heading for Star City is shown in powered flight complete with its initial stage 1 booster attached minutes from detonating. The 1st stage booster is ejected approximately 60 seconds after launch and the powered flight stage is complete by the time the warhead re-enters the atmosphere (after approximately 3 minutes after launch). At the point the ICBM could be seen by the residents of Star City it would be in it's ballistic phase (falling out the sky really fast) meaning Felicity and Curtis would not have been able to redirect it the way they did, the only way to stop it would have been to shoot it down. Quentin Lance: All right, where's the fire?
[Felicity hands him a scrap of paper]
Quentin Lance: What's this?
Felicity Smoak: The safest place within a hundred miles to survive a nuclear attack. Based on wind patterns...
Quentin Lance: Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Slow down. What are you talking about?
Felicity Smoak: The world's gonna end in two hours. I need you to take my mother there. Can you do that?

Every Show Has Its Lows, Don't Give Up On Arrow
26 May 2016 | by See all my reviews

Sure I agree with most that S4 was a little weak and bleak for Arrow. We were all sick of Dahrk and tired of Ollie having terrible things happen to him. So get over it people. Every single show in history has its lows and Arrow is no different, they have a good platform set for S5 and they are well aware about the imperfections of S4 so hopefully they take the new season in a better direction which I have faith that they will.

In the meantime don't give up on Arrow, it still has so much potential for greatness and will still be a great show. Plus it still has its great cast and original characters that we have all come to know and love. Give it another chance!
