"Red Eye" is a legend Gage Barker use to be told as a kid. When he found out there was some truth behind this legend he gathered a group of friends to hike in the backwoods of Black Creek, WV to help him use this as the basis for his first film project. To what extent will they go to make this project a reality? Will their passion bleed through? Or cross the line?Written by
Just watched Red Eye on Amazon Prime. What a pile of shit lol.
Don't waste your time. On second thoughts, please do, then we can have a good laugh about this huge wet jobby.
Seriously bad movie! Not gonna mention the film's makers as I hear they get all butthurt when someone says how shit it is. Seriously though, this is the sort of crap that gives indie filmmaking and crowdfunding projects a very bad name. I felt embarrassed watching it and very sorry for those who contributed to the Indigogo fund to finance this pile of wank.
Epic fail, sorry!!
There was lots of blood, but I wouldn't exactly call it gore. On closer inspection, all it was really, was buckets of fake blood thrown around, and smeared all over the place, with very little by way of visual fx gags, practical fx work or prosthetics. Hell, there's not even any cheap CGI to compensate for the lack of skill in the model shop. It honestly looked like they blew like 30% of the budget on aerial drone shots and the rest on publicity. It's hard to see where any of the money they raised from the unfortunate contributors actually went. Certainly wasn't on actors, because these people look like they are just friends and family of the "filmmakers". Probably the same people who posted positive reviews on IMDb. Some reviewers have said stuff like "there's some interesting character development" and "the filmmakers tried their hardest on a tiny budget", well I'm not having any of that, sorry. If they tried their hardest then I'm afraid this is the end of the line and they need to get out of the business now before they offend the wrong people.
