Following the first production meeting, Kermit says "I guess it's time to get things started," a line almost identical to the words he spoke at the beginning of each episode of "The Muppet Show." See more »

Carl: Alright, I'm just gonna be blunt. What if you have children? How would you raise them? Where would they go to the bathroom? In the woods?
Fozzie Bear: Okay, *that* is an offensive stereotype!

Pig Girls Don't Cry
6 June 2018 | by Prismark10See all my reviews

The Muppets return in a brand new television show but they have decided to go for the mockumentary route like the Modern Family.

The result is patchy, unfunny with a nasty streak. I did not like it.

The Muppets were cheeky, crazy, mischievous with a let's put on a show attitude.

Here they are putting on a chat show for spoilt primadonna Miss Piggy who has split up with Kermit and bitter about it. This is shown in the first episode by Miss Piggy not wanting Elizabeth Banks as a guest. It has shades of The Larry Sanders Show about it which cynically pulled apart the late night US chat shows.

It is no wonder there was no second season.
