I don't savvy English so this film is of little use to me. I can't find a version in English anywhere. Apparently it was produced in France and they automatically overdubbed the foreign language, just as we in America might do, but damn, I wish it was available in straight English... no pun intended...
I did scan through and enjoy the few English parts, such as the '50s educational film about the man with a 'sickness of the mind' who wants sex with other men, which is shown in the original English (with French subtitles). But there is very little of this in the film, whereas there are a lot of other parts with people clearly speaking English but still overdubbed with French. Oh well.
Probably an OK documentary but I can't tell, so how do I rate it? I'll give it a 6, I suppose. I'm sure it's a good documentary, I just wish I could watch it straight through... damn, I did it again...
